Category: Lung Cancer

While lung cancer does not often show symptoms in its early stages, when it reaches the more advanced stages, lung cancer symptoms may include:
Chronic cough
Coughing up blood
Chest pain
Weight loss/loss of appetite
Hoarseness
Shortness of breath
Wheezing
Repeated bronchitis or pneumonia

If you or someone you know is experiencing any of the above symptoms, call your doctor immediately.

More doctors today are using CT scans to help detect lung cancers in patients who smoke. If you smoke, the best way to prevent lung cancer is to quit. If you fear you may already have developed tumors, visit your doctor and ask for a CT scan of your chest, which is better able to detect small tumors than a regular X-ray.
